The 32nd annual meeting of the Loyal Order of the 704 convenes on the evening of September 30th at the Georgia Congress Center during TechExpo26 in Atlanta.

The Loyal Order of the 704 honors the legendary Jerrold 704 Signal Level Meter and those who built the modern cable and broadband industry. We unite veteran technicians, engineers, and technical leaders in lifelong fellowship, tradition, and camaraderie. Through our annual events, we raise funds to sponsor educational scholarships for talented young budding engineers individually and through the Syndeo Institute. We are a loyal and trusted network of engineering innovators who continue to shape the future of global connectivity.

We will induct a maximum of ten new members if we find them qualified and alive.

Qualifications for membership in the Loyal Order of the 704 are:

· Nomination by a current member, usually someone who knows you, holds a grudge against you, or is afraid of you.

· 20+ years in the industry. Extreme preference is given to Technical Operations, Engineering and/or the ability to tell great “questionable truths” about how your actual or (alleged) use of a Jerrold 704 meter or its descendant saved the world or you from nuclear destruction, asteroid collision, tsunami, hurricane, tornado, earthquake or other substantial embarrassment.

· The strong desire to wear a Pink Flamingo cap and kiss Pinky somewhere on Pinky’s body at the induction ceremony.
